JMWG - Take #1

Been wanting to do this for a while now... This being using Audacity to record my vocals on a karaoke track. The attempt is amateurish but I didn't really expect anything less given that I have to work within the limitations of my home PC.

I've chosen Why Georgia by John Mayer primarily because my throat was a bit off today and I felt I sounded a bit like JM :D
Do have a listen and let me know what you think...
Thanks!

When I read the post, my first thought was that, THAT'S brave. Or, suicidal. But after listening to the recording, I think it's very, very cool. Nicely done!

@ G - Thanks!

@ Shen - Well I was definitely swinging between the two, not to mention thoughts of possible cyberspace humiliation lol
Fortunately the superthick, rhino-like, shameless hide I possess comes in handy on just such occasions :D
Thank you for listening and the kind words.

:O

We-ell. Someone sure knows how to sing. How about signing a tiny little paper that has nothing on it with me? I promise I wouldnt force myself upon you as your official manager or anything and get all the money. God, You are good.

lol I doubt you'd make too much money offa me Sia but I have been bought drinks by random strangers in karaoke bars so a tipple or two I might be able to guarantee.

I'm glad you liked it and thank you for the high praise :)

It's UBER UBER COOL!!! And that's as high as it gets in my praise bank (the others being very and super cool- er..yes I have limited vocabulary but I used repetition and caps noe?).

I'd definitely buy you a drink or two to hear that live. And it has been a while since I cajoled a live performance out of you...

Why thank you milady :D

And you should buy me more than a drink or two. I sing waayyyyy better after I'm exactly 5.2 drinks down...

Or maybe its just the resultant Dutch courage leading to absolute conviction leading to better renditions hehe

There are times when the precious anonymity offered by an online existence really helps you become thick skinned. But this is one time you didn't need it.

What I mean is wow. Really, really nice. Especially the falsetto bit, very impressive.

Actually the falsettos were the easiest things to do, given the slight soreness of my throat that day... heh
Thank you for listening and I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
